sculptures in residential complex Andersen Park / article
The well-known artist sculptures were placed in the residential complex Andersen Park
Andersen Park residential complex got new unusual tenants! Especially for the deadline for the 2nd stage of the project we have installed 2 art objects by the famous artist Olga Muravina. You can see her works for the first time in Tyumen.
Olga Muravina is a Moscow-based artist of international standing. She has participated in more than 50 exhibitions and art projects not only in Russia, but also in Germany, USA, China and many other countries. Her works were presented at Moscow Art Park Muzeon and at the exhibition of contemporary urban sculpture at Skolkovo Technopark. Now her works are also in the State Russian Museum and in private collections worldwide.
The main images in Olga’s work are children and animals. All her sculptures resemble fantasy heroes from old cartoons. They may seem funny to some and sad to others, but the artist herself calls them “self-immersed”: all of Olga’s characters seem to be in an eternal state of lucid melancholy and pensive. They are sensual, sincere, and in some places even childishly naive.
– The theme of a certain peaceful space, complete peace, contemplation and self-immersion, the preservation of the primary and immediate childhood essence, sharpness and sensual perception, probably touches me the most and is the driving force in my creativity. – Olga shared with the company 4D.
Especially for the residents and guests of Andersen Park Residential Complex, the artist has prepared two bronze animalistic sculptures. The images of dog and rabbit embodied by Olga are far from their real prototypes. The artist does not strive to be detailed, but rather humanizes animals endowing them with feelings and emotions. Her sculptures represent the animals as children see them. That is why, in spite of the material, all of Olga’s works seem soft, tender and warm. You want to touch them, stroke them, and hold them.
According to Olga, a sculpture is an object that animates the space. It needs an appropriate architectural environment, so in the Andersen Park housing estate the sculptures of a rabbit and a doggie were inscribed organically in the yard space and placed in the square of the Danish King. Residents of the quarter immediately expressed keen interest in their new neighbors and have already begun to get to know them better. The sculptor hopes her work will bring them only positive emotions:
– I was very pleased with the opportunity to work with the developer 4D, creating beautiful urban spaces, with a harmoniously comfortable and aesthetic architectural environment, very inspired by the beautiful project Andersen Park housing estate. I would like my sculptures to bring joy, love and harmony to all its residents!
